This is a vintage 1965 photo of the factory entered Ferrari Dino 166P, serialnumber 0834, driven by Lorenzo Bandini and Nino Vaccarella en route to 4th place overall in the 1965 Nurburgring 1000 KM race.
The gentlemen gunned this 1600cc pocket rocket so fast around the Nurburgring track during the race that both officials and competitors had a hard time believing that this was actually a 1600cc car and under the watchful eye of the race commissioners the engine was taken apart after the race to verify its displacement!
The car in question survives to this day and now resides in the UK.
The photo measures some 17.5 x 13 cm or 7 x 5 inche.
The back carries the photographer's stamp.
It is in good condition with a small fold in the left bottom corner.
