This is a vintage 1953 photo.
It shows the 225 Sport Vignale Spider of Jim Kimberly.
Jim dropped out of the race with gearbox trouble in lap 95.
In 1964 the car was severely damaged when the shed where it was stored was hit by lightning. The car has consequently been cut up and the remains are allegedly buried under what is now a freeway.
A rare opportunity to acquire a vintage image of this important Vignale Ferrari and which is only scarcely documented.
This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.
The photo measures some 10.5 x 7 cm or 4 x 3 inches (excluding the border) and is in mint condition.
It carries NO photographer's stamp on the back.
